MSW Field Profiles 2021-22

MSW Angeliz Collazo 2021 Agency Name: Youth Advocate Programs Profile: I am an advanced standings master level social worker at Kutztown University. I am currently placed at Youth Advocate Programs as an intern. I will be providing services to children who have behavioral issues and individuals who have ASD.YAP provides direct services, advocacy and policy change, training and consultation and investing in futures. Field Placement Responsibilities: This field experience will include observing behavioral consultants, observing the director of the program, assisting the youth population as well as parents with different coping skills, providing services at school and home, brokering resources, consulting with the field instructor, and supporting individuals who have ASD. I will enhance my competence by engaging, observing, facilitating individual sessions, and participating in different task that are provided at Youth Advocate Programs. Future Goals: In the future I would like to become a social worker in the school district and assist children with becoming successful in their everyday life settings. Department of Social Work
