MSW Allison Wade 2021 Agency Name: Haven Behavioral Hospital of Eastern Pennsylvania Profile: Haven is an acute - care psychiatric hospital that offers a full continuum of care for older adults dealing with mental health conditions and co - occurring disorders through inpatient treatment specifically extended acute care, dual - diagnosis, and developmental disorders. Field Placement Responsibilities: Haven ’ s inpatient program focuses on extended acute care, mental health, and substance abuse treatment. As a social work intern, my responsibility is to focus on the patient ’ s strengths using the strength - based perspective. This also includes group therapy, working with a treatment team to evaluate the patient through treatment plans and ensuring the patients are connected to outpatient services once successfully discharged from completing the inpatient program. Future Goals: Future goals would include graduating with my MSW to become an LSW. I would also like to work towards becoming an LCSW. Department of Social Work
