MSW Field Profiles 2021-22

MSW Danielle Ortiz 2021 Agency Name: Caron Treatment Center Profile: Caron Treatment Centers is an in - patient rehab. Caron treats the mind, body, and spirt while in treatment. They believe that drug and alcohol problems go together with psychological disorders and are addressed while in treatment. They believe that family plays an important role in recovery. Counseling and education on substance use disorder and behavioral health is available to the patient ’ s family. Field Placement Responsibilities: Some of the responsibilities that I have at Caron are performing psychosocial assessments on new patients and present them to the treatment team. I will also be the completing upfront work on new patients, which involves introducing them to Caron and getting a background on the patient. I will also be co - facilitating groups. I will be researching and finding proper aftercare placements for patients discharging. Future Goals: My future goal is to work with hospice and palliative patients. I would eventually like to obtain my LCSW and continue my education and obtain a DSW. Department of Social Work
