MSW Field Profiles 2020-21

MSW Amber Weber 2020 Agency Name: Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Lebanon Profile: The VA Medical Center is an extensive organization offering a wide array of services for all veterans. The agency's focus is to serve Veterans who are eligible for services. Field Placement Responsibilities: At VA Medical Center, I intern with the Transitions Care Management Team (TCM) which serves to provide case management services to Veterans who need aid in navigating the system and having extra support outside of their primary care doctor. I will be setting up consultations with various departments at the VA to ensure the Veteran is able to have their needs met as well as conducting biopsychosocial assessments to assess their unique needs. In addition, I will be brokering Veterans to other departments to help them meet their goals. Future Goals: In the future, I hope to be in a leadership or supervisory position with an agency and supervise staff. I have interests in hospital social work as well as macro level practice.
