MSW Allison Wade 2020 Agency Name: Haven Behavioral Hospital of Eastern Pennsylvania Profile: My name is Allison Wade; I am in the MSW program and placed at Haven Behavioral Hospital of Eastern Pennsylvania on the dual diagnosis inpatient unit. Haven is an acute - care psychiatric hospital that offers a full continuum of care for older adults dealing with mental health conditions and co - occurring disorders. Field Placement Responsibilities : Haven ’ s inpatient program focuses on mental health and substance abuse treatment. As a social work intern, my responsibility is to focus on the patient ’ s strengths using the strength - based perspective. This also includes group therapy, working with a treatment team to evaluate the patient through treatment plans and ensuring the patients are connected to outpatient services once successfully discharged from completing the inpatient program. Future Goals: Graduate with my MSW and become an LSW. I would also like to work towards becoming an LCSW so I can help individuals improve the quality of their life. Advocate for social justice.
