MSW George Wachira 2020 Agency Name: Neighborhood Health Center Lehigh Valley Profile: Neighborhood Health Center is a Federal Qualified Health Center that provides primary and preventive health and wellness services in the Lehigh Valley regardless of a person ’ s ability to pay. They strive to achieve this directly and in partnership with other organizations to create primary health care home for an underserved community. Field Placement Responsibilities: My responsibilities include connecting patients to health insurance, financial aid programs, and LANtaVan services to people with disabilities. I also participate in Neighbor2Neighbor time banking program and Mental health counseling. Future Goals: To complete my MSW program and work in children and family programs. Department of Social Work
