MSW Field Profiles 2020-21

MSW Mia Sabrina Verneret 2020 Agency Name: The Reading High School Social Work Department Profile: The Reading High School is a public magnet school that has students from 9 - 12 grade. The social work department is there to assist the students and families with the resources needed. The Reading Senior High School has many different programs to help the students become successful and receive their high school diploma. Field Placement Responsibilities: As a social work intern at the Reading Senior High School, I help scheduled meeting with parents and students who are in need of social services. I help link families and students to resources needed. I reach out to students to make sure that they are doing well with virtual school and have no concerns. My job is to also to advocate for students who are unable to advocate for themselves in regards to their concerns. Future Goals: I am planning to get my LSW after receiving my MSW, and continue to work as a social worker in order to help individuals in need. Department of Social Work
