MSW Field Profiles 2020-21

MSW Ana Tuzio 2020 Agency Name: CONCERN Profile: CONCERN is a multiservice private non - profit human services organization dedicated to providing child welfare, juvenile justice, and behavioral health services to children and their families. Since its beginning in 1978, CONCERN has become known for their foster care and adoption services, as well as, their behavioral health services. Field Placement Responsibilities: I will be interning at CONCERN in the Adoption and Permanency Services department for the 2020 - 2021 academic year. Generally, staff in this department handles children and youth in pre - adoptive homes or situations where the end goal of adoption has been stated. In my role as an adoption and permanency services intern, I will be shadowing other permanency specialists, reviewing Child Profiles, and networking with other adoption workers from neighboring agencies. Future Goals: In the future, I hope to graduate in May 2021 with my MSW and eventually earn my DSW. I hope to find a job in New Jersey working in child welfare or with mental health & co - existing disorder clients. Department of Social Work
