MSW Melissa Terwilliger 2020 Agency Name: West Shore School District Profile: The Social Work Department provides social work services to students and their families. These services are as followed but not limited to ensuring basic needs are met, medical coverage is secured, monitoring students identified as homeless status, link to housing assistance programs, brokering students to community resources, to prevent chronic absenteeism. Field Placement Responsibilities: The School Social Worker provides social work services to students and families to ensure basic needs are met, medical coverage is secured, monitoring students identified as homeless status, securing housing, brokering students to community resources and ensuring students are supported in their academic experience and providing case management services to students at risk for chronic absenteeism Future Goals: I plan to have my master ’ s in social work, take the licensure exam, be certified ACSW and certified in financial social work.
