MSW Field Profiles 2020-21

MSW Katherine Camoni 2020 Agency Name: KidsPeace Residential Program Profile: KidsPeace residential program focuses on providing therapy, stability, and education to children and teens that have experienced trauma. The residential program provides a combination of intensive therapy and therapeutic recreation which allows the clients to heal and process their trauma in a safe, stable, and therapeutic environment. Field Placement Responsibilities: At KidsPeace Pioneer Center, I observe and conduct individual and family therapy. My responsibilities include attending weekly meetings with each client ’ s treatment team to discuss the progress, future discharge goals, and after care services needed at discharge. I strive to build a positive rapport and develop a therapeutic relationship that allows clients quality therapy while in treatment. Future Goals: My future goals are to become a licensed social worker, and work in the mental health field. I will combine my clinical experience with my creative background to provide artistic therapeutic approach to care. Department of Social Work
