MSW Field Profiles 2020-21

MSW Natasha Rodriguez 2020 Agency Name: Lehigh County Children and Youth Services Profile: Lehigh County Office of Children and Youth Services is a child welfare agency. LCOCYS is committed to protecting children from abuse and neglect, maintaining children in their own home and community, ensuring access to community based services for parents experiencing difficulty in caring for their children, preserving and stabilizing family life, and assuring that children have a permanent home. Field Placement Responsibilities: Field assignment is in the Training and Development department. As an intern, I will be creating different training materials for new employees and community partners. I will be researching different ways to improve agency morale. I will also be assessing how effective current trainings are. Future Goals: I would like to continue working in Child Welfare and hope to become a supervisor or administrator someday. After gaining years of experience in Child Welfare, I would like to become a Child Welfare professor. Department of Social Work
