MSW Field Profiles 2020-21

MSW Breanna Prata 2020 Agency Name: Aspire Profile: Aspire is an organization who works with victims of human trafficking. Aspire's Community Intervention Services program allows for social workers to go out into the streets and meet with clients directly. Through this engagement, workers can connect clients to resources they need. The goal is to connect with victims of human trafficking through the brokering process. Field Placement Responsibilities: My field placement responsibilities include assisting in the development of their new employee training program. This includes creating a new hire training module, documentation, confidentiality forms, resource lists, and safety trainings. I also will be a part of their community outreach events that will involve Aspire seeking partners within the community. I also will be a part of their Community Intervention Services program, which involves engaging with clients on the street to build rapport and connect them to the services they need. Future Goals: My future goals are to complete my MSW and hopefully enter into a field of practice that works specifically with women. I hope to attain my LSW, LCSW, and potentially go for my Doctorate or PHD. Department of Social Work
