MSW Field Profiles 2020-21

MSW Frederick Nyamekeh 2020 Agency Name: Department of Social Work, Kutztown University Profile: The focus of the agency is social work research. Currently the agency is conducting research to find out barriers to mental health services in rural Pennsylvania and the means through which access can be improved. Another study the agency is embarking upon is a Microfinance research in Haiti. Field Placement Responsibilities: As a research assistant at the agency, some of my responsibilities are data entry in the microfinance study team, literature reviews, observing and writing a summary of focus group interviews and attending research teammeetings. Future Goals: I hope to complete all tasks under my EPC this semester. After graduating, I hope to get my LCSW and work in a Children and Youth Services Agency or a mental health agency.
