MSW Amanda J. Martinez 2020 Agency Name: Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth Profile: Child Welfare. The mission is to deliver effective child welfare services that empower families to appropriately care for their children and maintain or achieve a desirable quality of life in the best interest of each child. Field Placement Responsibilities: Adoption Unit at Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth. I will be observing court proceedings in relation to termination of parental rights and adoption. I will be accompanying caseworkers to home visits and assisting in the process recording. By the end of my internship I will have completed a home study for both adoption and permanent legal custody Future Goals: To continue my career in Child Welfare Department of Social Work
