MSW Field Profiles 2020-21

MSW Katelynn J. Kissling 2020 Agency Name: Reading High School - Thomas Ford Campus Profile: This is a credit recovery school. All students that attend have issues with their credits or behavioral concerns within the high school. The goal is to assist students in catching up on their credits and have them successfully graduate. Field Placement Responsibilities: I will be assisting the School Social worker with case - management, brokering services, mental health crisis, and attendance initiative. I will work collaboratively with all the social workers, social work interns, teachers, and staff to accomplish the goal of assisting students in successfully completing their coursework. During this internship I will be working with a diverse population in the city of Reading and ensuring students a successful completion of their course work. During this internship I will engage, intervene, assess, and evaluate my work with students and families. Future Goals: I plan to continue working in the Child Welfare Field. I also plan to obtain my LSW after graduation. After receiving my LSW, I plan to work towards obtaining my LCSW. Department of Social Work
