MSW Field Profiles 2020-21

MSW Elizabeth Gehringer 2020 Agency Name: Pinebrook Family Answers Profile: Pinebrook Family Answers assists children, families, adults, and seniors in the Lehigh Valley with many services. Programs that assist clients include family based services, mental health services, foster and adoptions, and reentry services. A main focus of the agency is that it is trauma - informed to serve all clients in reaching their highest potential. Field Placement Responsibilities: My roles at Pinebrook Family Answers include being an intern as a psychotherapist. As a psychotherapist I counsel clients by guiding them through therapy sessions to help them with any behavioral health issues they may be experiencing. I provide them with therapy sessions and referrals for other services if needed. My responsibilities as a psychotherapist is to create a treatment plan with the client and establishing interventions to help the client throughout their therapy process. I will also be engaging with clients coming to Pinebrook Family Services through the intake process such as the biopsychosocial assessment, agency policies, and creating goals with the incoming client. Future Goals: My future goal after graduating with my MSW is I would like to pursue a job with case management in a hospital setting or working as a social worker in a school district.
