MSW Field Profiles 2020-21

MSW Amelia Garraway 2020 Agency Name: Lehigh Valley Families Together, Inc. Profile: Lehigh Valley Families Together, Inc. is an agency providing family preservation and reunification services to children and families in Lehigh and Northampton counties. These services include counseling, case management, and community linking services. LVFT works to effect positive change within the family that will continue through empowerment and support of linkages to community organizations. Field Placement Responsibilities: My field placement responsibilities include working collaboratively with my assigned team partner. We work with various families across Lehigh and Northampton Counties. We meet with the families either once a week or twice a week depending on the amount of services the family seeks. Working with the families I am assuring the safety of the children, empowering families to resolve their own problems, building on their family strengths, involving the community in family support, and decreasing the need for public resources over time. Future Goals: My future goals are to graduate in May and continue my employment at Lehigh Valley Families Together. I always want to include my passion for working directly with families and children in my future work. Department of Social Work
