BSW Isabel Alcala 2021 Agency Name: Bethany Christian Services Profile: Bethany Christian Services is a non - profit, accredited organization. They show Jesus Christ's love and compassion by supporting vulnerable children in the U.S, refugee and immigrant children and families, and global families. Bethany supports children in the U.S through pregnancy counseling, foster care, emergency care, and adoption. Field Placement Responsibilities: I will assist my field instructor in foster care intake and matching in the domestic foster care department. I will assist taking foster care referrals, entering referrals into Bethany ’ s database, identifying placements for foster care children, and arranging short - term respite placements. I will also be working with families and county agencies to match children with Statewide Adoption Network (SWAN). Future Goals: After receiving my BSW I would like to go for my MSW. I would like to work with foster care and adoption and hopefully immigrant and refugee families as well. Department of Social Work
