BSW Field Profiles 2021-22

BSW Kaitlyn Fry 2021 Agency Name: Berks County Area Agency on Aging Profile: The agency works with older adults in Berks County to ensure that their basic needs are addressed to promote aging in place in the community. Promotion of independent lifestyles in situations that are safe, is a goal that is important to the agency. Field Placement Responsibilities: My responsibilities as an intern are to learn about the agency ’ s assessment processes and the different types of assessments that are required. I intern with different Berks County Area Agency Programs such as meals on wheels. I also analyze agency data, review relevant polices, and learn about the different funding streams available to the agency. Future Goals: My goals for the future are to work in a skilled nursing facility to help empower and meet the needs of the older adults I will be working with. Department of Social Work
