BSW Field Profiles 2021-22

BSW Jessica Mackie 2021 Agency Name: Concern Profile: Concern for Kids focuses on helping children that need foster care. They seek out appropriate homes by matching them with appropriate families and offer recommendations for resources for both the children and birth and foster families. They prioritize the needs of the client, serving them in the community setting. Field Placement Responsibilities: My field responsibilities are assisting with recruitment efforts, by partnering with community stakeholders to include local businesses to identify potential foster parents. I attend large events such as fairs, festivals, and other community gatherings to promote the mission of the agency and to educate the public. I also participate in interviews with potential foster families. We review meeting notes to identify positive matches for children and potential foster families. I also review and familiarize myself with agency polices and state regulations to gain insights on how matching determinations are made. Future Goals: My future goals is to work in a foster and adoption agency. Department of Social Work
