BSW Field Profiles 2021-22

BSW Bianca A Freedman 2021 Agency Name: The Mentor Network Profile: My agency is a intensive behavioral health service center that provides support services to help our clients achieve growth. I work in the children and family department. The clientele group I work with are children primarily with autism. The Mentor Network works to provide services to help with behavioral concerns and de - escalation when needed. Field Placement Responsibilities: As a social work intern my responsibilities include reading and understand clients treatment plans, and implementing skill to help address client behavioral concerns. After working with a client I write notes based on my session, I document interventions that were used and how my client responded. I communicate with my supervisor to receive advice and communicate with others involved with client growth. Two days a week I am at my office and my responsibilities there include organizing documentation and other paperwork, as well as filing. Future Goals: After receiving my BSW I would like to go right to graduate school to receive my MSW. Once my MSW is achieved I would like to look at becoming a licensed clinical social worker, based in a hospital. Department of Social Work
