BSW Field Profiles 2021-22

BSW Vicki Kohlhepp 2021 Agency Name: Battle Born Profile: Battle Born it is a non - profit organization located in Palmer PA. Battle Born is a collaborative effort among individuals and organizations to assist veterans in our community. Field Placement Responsibilities: My duties and responsibilities include intake services for all veterans and their family members that come into the center. For the intake process I use a micro approach. I collect a baseline of clients ’ medical and social needs. The intake process Battle Born team helps veterans navigate the services within the area. Some of those services are linking to a rehab facility for drugs and alcohol treatment, getting them assistance for financial needs for housing, and finding family support groups within the area. Some of my other duties and responsibilities is setting up for the support group meetings. Future Goals: I hope to obtain my MSW, and eventually work for a local school district or VA hospital.
