BSW Field Profiles 2021-22

BSW Madison Bowman 2021 Agency Name: Boyertown Area Multi - Service Profile: Boyertown Area Multi - Service is a social service agency whose mission is to “ provide resources and services to meet unfulfilled human and community needs in the greater Boyertown area. ” Programs such as a food pantry, Meals on Wheels, utility and rental assistance, and general case management are available at this agency. Field Placement Responsibilities: My primary role at the Multi - Service is to assist in the Meals on Wheels (MOW) program. This includes preparing the delivery routes, performing needs assessments, making home visits, general MOW data entry and documentation, working with volunteers to ensure meal prep and delivery are successful. On occasion I will be delivering meals and working on other projects within the agency such as general case management assessments; designing fliers, posters, and brochures; and seasonal fundraising events like a Back to School drive and Santa Shop. Future Goals: After graduation, my field interests are in the criminal justice system, gerontology, or the community setting. I hope to gain some further field experience and potentially return for my MSW. Department of Social Work
