BSW Field Profiles 2021-22

BSW Theresa Figueroa 2021 Agency Name: Lebanon County CYS Profile: The agency ’ s focus is to maintain the safety of children and their families by helping families stay together. The Agency investigates reports of child abuse and neglect and provides intervention services to address safety threats and risk factors and works to stabilize the family (Lebanon CYS, 2021). Field Placement Responsibilities: My field placement responsibilities are to learn the duties and responsibilities of a caseworker. Some of the duties include filing and maintaining case history reports, interviewing clients to assess their individual needs, determining which type of assistance is necessary. Being able to conduct Intakes and Assessments and coordinate services for the individuals who are involved is an important part of the internship. I must also be able to serve as a liaison between the client and government organizations, schools, courts, and any other essential agencies. Making regular follow - ups to assess the client ’ s progress and any additional needs. Changing and reviewing plans as the client ’ s circumstances change is crucial to promoting successful outcomes. Future Goals: My future goals are to be a successful and compassionate social worker that can provide encouragement and emotional support to help those who I encounter to reach their highest potential.
