BSW Carlee Ferraina 2021 Agency Name: Aspire To Autonomy Profile: Aspire to Autonomy is an agency that provides a supportive presence, initiating recovery and empowerment. We provide an environment of safety, healing, and empowerment that will give trafficking victims the necessary support in the form of services and programs to enable their pursuit of independence. Field Placement Responsibilities: Being a Community Intervention Service intern, I am responsible for alleviating the gap in services for victims of human trafficking to access behavior health services. I serve the vulnerable, low - income, underserved populations in the remote areas of: Bangor, Bath, Northampton Boro, Roseto, Walnutport, and Wind Gap as well as more urban areas of: West Easton, Wilson, Bethlehem, and Easton. I am responsible for connecting individuals to necessary and appropriate services and treatments, linking individuals to community resources and governmental assistant programs to meet their needs, identify and support victims of human trafficking, and provide the homeless and under - served community members with materials to decrease their risk of contracting and spreading COVID - 19. Future Goals: I hope to obtain my BSW, MSW and license to become a clinical social worker. Department of Social Work
