BSW Field Profiles 2021-22

BSW Jacob Romano 2021 Agency Name: Youth Advocate Programs Profile: YAP is a non - profit organization that advocates for families and children and provides services within the home or outside the home. YAP also responds to the needs of their clients by referring them to other services. Field Placement Responsibilities: As an intern with YAP, I will provide support to families, under the supervision of my field instructor. I will be reading case studies, working with children and families, and guiding them through the planned change process with my colleagues, in order to match them with the best services and care YAP has to offer them. I will also be receiving many trainings to further my education more while in this internship process. Future Goals: I hope to work with adolescents, teenagers, and young adults with mental and behavioral health issues, using my knowledge and expertise to provide my clients with the best quality of life.
