BSW Field Profiles 2021-22

BSW Destiny Bethea 2021 Agency Name: Multicultural Center Profile: My name is Destiny Bethea and I am a senior this school term. I have been placed at the Multicultural Center at Kutztown University. The MCC is an on - campus resource for students that focuses on diversity, inclusion and equity. This open space is also used as a hub for students of different cultures and backgrounds to interact and learn from each other. Field Placement Responsibilities: At the Multicultural Center, I help with enforcing the missions and values by inviting more students to come to the MCC. The main goal is to have students to understand that the MCC is a safe space for all. I am also responsible for creating programs and facilitating group discussions surrounding diversity, and inclusion. This allows for students to learn more about other communities and how they may be affected. Events like this help to create a more inclusive environment on campus. Future Goals: Currently, I want to do counseling or therapy with a wide range of clients. I believe having a diverse group of clients will allow me to grow and become a better Social Worker Department of Social Work
