BSW Field Profiles 2020-21

BSW Soni Diaz 2020 Agency Name: Racism/Bias/Discrimination Advocacy Committee Profile: My agency is the Social Work Dept at Kutztown University. The mission is to promote & actualize the proposal designed for the Commonwealth of PA. Establish training on “ Racism, Bias, and Discrimination “, and be required for all public/private school teachers, public service/Civil Service employees, human service providers and others licensed in PA. This training will be conducted biennially. Field Placement Responsibilities: My responsibilities include attending committee meetings and engaging with other social work professionals, students, faculty and invited guests to work on the proposal. Preparing contact lists for potential stakeholders, and allies to help this initiative. To conduct research on areas of racism, bias, and discrimination to determine angles on how to make this proposal successful and long - lasting. Future Goals: Continue education towards a master ’ s degree. Continue exploring options in the area of specialized social work I would like to work in.
