BSW Field Profiles 2019-20

BSW Shannon Dunnigan 2019 Agency Name: Access Services Profile: Access Services provides services for those with special needs, children in foster care, and adults with developmental challenges or disabilities. It has become Access Services mission to provide those in need with companionship and resources to grow as part of the community and reach their greatest potential. Field Placement Responsibilities: As an intern for the Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services program, I will be learning about the new policy changes and regulations and observe how they are applied to the program's practice. I am to review client case files and review their treatment plans in order to better understand how our clients are being helped to achieve their greatest potential. I also will understand the dynamics of the teamwork relationship between the supervisors of the program, coordinators, TSS workers, psychologists, and case managers. I will understand how policy changes affect the agency and the client's we work with. I will be able to meet with client's alongside TSS workers and coordinators to assess clients and their families to come up with a treatment plan. Future Goals: In the future, I intend on achieving a Master's Degree fromKutztown University. My goal is to work with those who have mental health needs or those who struggle with substance abuse.
