BSW Field Profiles 2019-20

BSW Ashley Collischan 2019 Agency Name: Edison Court- PATHS Program Profile: Edison Court's PATHS program is a group treatment home for boys with sexually problematic behaviors ages 10-15. It uses therapy to help form coping mechanisms, change behaviors and educate youth to make sure they have a successful return into the community. Field Placement Responsibilities: While at the PATHS program I will engage and supervise youth, help them follow scheduling, shadow youth counselors, observe medication administration and carrying out notetaking/documentation. In the future I will be able to possibly sit in on group sessions, intakes and observe individual sessions and initial assessments. Future Goals: In the future I plan to get a MSW. I am interested in becoming a counselor and working in mental health or substance abuse. Department of Social Work
