BSW Field Profiles 2019-20

BSW Kayla Bradley 2019 Agency Name: Haven House Profile: Haven House is a mental health agency that provides services to over 1700 individuals. They offer outpatient services, groups, psychiatric rehabilitation, wellness recovery team and community outreach. Haven House's services are designed to promote independence and rehabilitation back into the community. Field Placement Responsibilities: My field placement is specifically in the Psychiatric rehabilitation services at Haven House. This skills-based program allows for individuals with chronic and/or severe mental illness to develop long term recovery goals to work towards independent living, working, learning and socialization. One of my daily responsibilities is writing daily progress notes, group transitions and group facilitation. Another responsibility of mine is assisting clients to develop daily goals as well completing daily maps to outline their day. It will be my responsibility to organize the quarterly newsletter as well as other tasks to assist with the daily functions of the program. I work with the clients during their groups to alleviate stress and assist themwith their needs. Future Goals: After my BSW, I hope to move onto my MSW. After school, I plan to work with at-risk youths to help them transition into adulthood. Department of Social Work
