BSW Field Profiles 2019-20

BSW CassieWoolever 2019 Agency Name: Concern Professionals - Fleetwood Profile: Concern is an agency that focuses primarily on child welfare. Concern offers a number of different services, such as foster care, adoption, behavioral health, as well as community based programs. My agency specifically focuses on adoption and foster care. Concern strives to reunite children with their children; however, if not possible, then to find them a loving forever home. Field Placement Responsibilities: In my agency, I have a range of responsibilities. I am in the recruitment department, meaning that I help with the assistance of finding and approving parents. I participate in recruitment meetings to discuss various ways to advertise the agency. I also take part in parent matching, which consists of matching a family to a potential child. I complete all necessary paperwork that is required to get a family approved within my agency so that we can move forward with the foster care or adoption process. Future Goals: After I graduate from KU with my BSW, I plan on attending graduate school for my MSW. My ultimate career goal is to work in a foster care & adoption agency. Department of Social Work
