BSW Field Profiles 2019-20

BSW Caitlin Sutter 2019 Agency Name: The Salvation Army of Boyertown Profile: The Salvation Army of Boyertown helps those in its district through food pantry services and a daily lunch program. Case management is used for those asking for rent and utility assistance, as well as those interested in the Pathway of Hope Program. The Pathway of Hope program offers specialized case management to parents in crisis. Field Placement Responsibilities: Some of my responsibilities include, educating clients on what services are available in the area, brokering resources to clients via telephone or email, evaluate a client's crisis situation via telephone or in person to assess how the Salvation Army can help, enable clients to attain their goals through support and encouragement, advocate on behalf of the client to other agencies and government entities, and case coordinating services and monitoring progress with my supervisor. Future Goals: I hope to get my MSW and licensure and then work in clinical social work. Department of Social Work
