BSW Field Profiles 2019-20

BSW Thalita Soto 2019 Agency Name: KidsPeace Profile: KidsPeace is a private charity that focuses on improving the quality of life to communities, families and children. The private charity offers immediate behavioral and psychiatric care to minors and individuals up to the age of 21. Psychiatric hospitals, foster care programs, educational services and community based programs are all contributions of the agency. Field Placement Responsibilities: My field placement responsibilities require me to work directly with the treatment plans of clients. I facilitate group with clients concerning their progress with their treatment and education. I assist in giving feedback at meetings that regard to clients treatments. My clients and I make incentives to reach certain goals as well as linking and transporting them too activities off KidsPeace campus. I also answer telephone calls that come into the unit, to answer questions or transfer them to other resources necessary. Future Goals: My future goals are to become a clinician at KidsPeace. I plan to continue my education at Kutztown University and graduate with my Masters Degree. I hope to open up my own private practice. Department of Social Work
