BSW Field Profiles 2019-20

BSW Kimberly Blewett 2019 Agency Name: Pinebrook Family Answers Profile: Pinebrook Family Answers strives to provide outpatients services as well as many other programs to the Lehigh Valley community. Pine brook has many different programs that for with foster care, incarcerated women, family preservation and counseling, and truancy. Pinebrook focuses in providing trauma informed care throughout their whole practice. Field Placement Responsibilities: At Pinebrook Family Answers I am and intake intern. I am responsible for taking the initial intake of our outpatient clients. Our initial intakes are done over that phone. In our initial intake we are asking them a lot of background information on themselves, making sure we accept their insurance, creating patient files, and scheduling their full 90 -minute intake with a clinician. I will also have the opportunity to work with clinicians to do the full 90-minute intake throughout the year. I will have the opportunity go an observe many of the different programs that Pinebrook offers to their clients. Future Goals: In the future I would like to obtain my MSW and become a LCSW. I would love to work with first responders and military personal who have experienced trauma. Department of Social Work
