BSW Field Profiles 2019-20

BSW Amanda Schmitt 2019 Agency Name: VAST (Valley Against Sex Trafficking) Profile: VAST is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to eliminate human trafficking in the Allentown area by educating the community as well as working with victims and survivors for trauma healing and justice reform. Field Placement Responsibilities: My field placement responsibilities include working in collaboration with survivors, conducting community outreach programs, planning various events, and connecting victims with resources. VAST functions on the micro, mezzo, and macro levels and my responsibilities vary and change on a daily basis! Future Goals: My future goals are to practice social work on the international level while advocating for equality, safety, and the well-being of women around the globe. Department of Social Work
