BSW Field Profiles 2019-20

BSW Nachally Santos 2019 Agency Name: Northampton County Children and Youth Services Profile: Northampton County Children and Youth Services operates under the juvenile and child protective services act. Children and youth agencies are responsible for investigating and assessing child abuse and neglect allegations. They are also responsible for providing services to families, such as, parenting education classes, counseling, group home care, residential care and day care. Field Placement Responsibilities: My field placement responsibilities are to complete ten training modules in order to gain knowledge on the field. I will be interning in the general protective intake unit. I am also responsible for notetaking, shadowing and helping caseworkers with Spanish translations when needed. Future Goals: After graduation, I plan on working in child welfare. I eventually want to earn a masters degree and work in various fields of social work. My long-term goal is to become a college professor. Department of Social Work
