BSW Allyssa Bernasconi 2019 Agency Name: Children's Home of Easton Profile: The Children's Home of Easton is a private, non-profit organization that provides residential care for children and families in need. They offer a wide variety of programs to assist different family circumstances. They have professional staff that provide care by supporting and encouraging children as well as their families to reach their full potential. Field Placement Responsibilities: My responsibilities at the agency include working with the girls unit to guide and encourage a wide variety of skills. I am responsible for transporting them to appointments, attending group sessions, meetings, and reporting to my supervisor/caseworker. I will be a support system as well as a safe space for the girls in the unit. I will also be attending a few court sessions throughout the semester regarding the parental rights or any other family circumstances. I will be a volunteer at several events within the agency as well as the community. Future Goals: In the future, I plan to work within the school system or a hospital setting as a clinical social worker. Eventually, I want to pursue my masters degree in education.
