BSW Field Profiles 2019-20

BSW Taylor Masino 2019 Agency Name: CONCERN Behavioral Health Services Profile: Concern is a non-profit organization that provides behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults and families. They have multiple services available such as outpatient counseling, school-based outpatient services, behavioral health rehabilitation services and a partial hospitalization program. Concerns focus is to promote wellness and independent functioning within the community. Field Placement Responsibilities: During my internship at Concern, I will be responsible for a multitude of projects. My responsibilities range from verifying client's insurance twice a month to conducting bio- psycho-social interviews during first assessments. I will be working with the behavioral health rehabilitation services supervisor managing the pending client list. In addition, I will be doing in-take interviews over the phone when a client first calls to set up an appointment and verifying their insurance information. Future Goals: After I graduate with my BSW in Social Work, I would like to attend graduate school for my MSW and eventually my DSW. My goal is to become an outpatient counselor and open my own practice. Department of Social Work
