BSW Field Profiles 2019-20

BSW Morgan Gabriele 2019 Agency Name: Kutztown Strong Profile: Kutztown Strong focuses on preventing substance abuse for the well-being of the community. The agency aims at providing the children with resources in order for them to focus on maintaining a clean and healthy life. Field Placement Responsibilities: I will be working on the Kutztown Strong website in order to notify others of board meeting dates, coalitionmeeting dates, and finally posting informative yet impactful information to keep the website interesting and new. Also, I am interacting with several young children so I will be attending events such as the Harvest Fest that we are planning in order for the families to interact with their children. I am also doing a learning inquiry project and profile project which focuses on interviewing the children for them to answer questions. Finally, a few day to day responsibilities for me are interacting with the children at their centers within the school by helping them learn about new concepts such as letters, numbers, shapes, feelings and their ideas of concepts, for example families. Future Goals: When I graduate with my BSW I intend to focus on substance abuse in teenagers. I would like to gain experience after college by working and then eventually attending school again to earn my Master's degree. Department of Social Work
