BSW Field Profiles 2019-20

BSW Elise Foreback 2019 Agency Name: Hope Rescue Mission Profile: Hope Rescue Mission is a men's homeless shelter located in Reading, Pennsylvania. It is a faith-based non-profit that has been in existence for 125 years. The agency provides emergency shelter and transitional living to at least 170 individuals at any given time. Field Placement Responsibilities: My field placement takes place within Hope Rescue Mission's case management department. I will be acting in the capacity of a Partnership Coordinator on behalf of the Mission. My goal for my field placement will be to identify ways to better collaborate with other agencies in the area. I will be interacting with helping professionals from a variety of other nonprofit groups in Berks County including Berks Coalition to End Homelessness, Reading Hospital, and Wernersville Community Correctional Center. There will be a heavy emphasis on macro practice within my field placement. Future Goals: My future educational goal is to obtain my MSW from Kutztown University. I have an interest in macro social work and would like to work specifically on the issue of homelessness. Department of Social Work
