BSW Gabrielle Foley 2019 Agency Name: Reading School District, Reading Knights Accelerated Academy Profile: My agency Reading School District Reading Knights Accelerated Academy is a high school located in the Reading School District. The social worker ensures that all students have the tools they need to be successful. This can include school supplies, personal items, transportation to school, and referral services. Field Placement Responsibilities: In my placement, I assist the school social worker with daily activities. I assess students for their needs, attendance, and academics. I also do research to share with other staff members on mental health and adolescent behavior. I help plan and coordinate our school club that focuses on mental health and suicide prevention. Future Goals: After I graduate from Kutztown University with my BSW, I want to continue my education and obtain my MSW. In the future I want to work with adolescents in a school setting.
