BSW Field Profiles 2018-19

BSW Caleb Baukman 2018-2019 Agency Name: Kutztown Strong Profile: Kutztown Strong is a community based agency that focuses on substance abuse prevention in the Kutztown Community. They work to combat substance abuse by promoting healthy youth lifestyles. Along with promoting healthy youth lifestyles, they work to connect the community including the University because they understand that as individuals we are all stronger together. Field Placement Responsibilities: I am working under the supervision of the Community Coordinator for Kutztown Strong. I will be taking on a similar role as an intern. I will be in charge of creating, planning, and implementing projects. I will also be responsible for engaging with families at the Early Learning Community in Kutztown. I will be responsible for developing Kutztown Strong's policies. I will be responsible for working with and empowering High School students to get involved in Kutztown Strong and their community. I will also be responsible to act professionally and ethically in whatever area I am in and project that I am working on. Future Goals: My future goals are to graduate with the highest honors and to jump 7'0 in high jump here at Kutztown University. Then my goal is to get my masters in social work at Howard University.
