BSW Field Profiles 2018-19

BSW Jazmine M. Washington 2018-2019 Agency Name: Berks County Children and Youth Services Profile: Children and youth services is assigned to protect children, up to eighteen years of age, from abuse and neglect. The staff investigate all reports of child maltreatment in Berks County. Children and youth provide resources and services for families including monitoring being implemented to ensure child safety. Field Placement Responsibilities: In my placement within the In-home department of children and youth services, I participate in writing clear and concise case notes and learn how to file case files. I also learn about community resources, work with families and develop family service plans. As well I conduct 30 day home visits and connect families to community resources. Future Goals: I plan on working as a case worker for a year to complete my CWEB program. In the future I hope to become a LCSW to help with concerns of mental and emotional health.
