BSW Hanna - peace Anabui 2018 - 2019 Agency Name: GLBTQ Resource Center Profile: The GLBTQ Resource center is a center to help the LGBTQ students on campus and it provides resources for them that are LGBTQ friendly and to provide a safe space on campus Field Placement Responsibilities: Host a group discussion or event centered on LGBTQ/ issues from a social worker perspective and/or assist in the development and coordination of at least two (2 ) Center events.Assess programmatic needs of the GLBTQ/ Center in regards to addressing underserved populations,and create at least one new initiative to address an unmet need. Build a rapport with the visitors of the center.Complete campus safe space training. Assist in work shops,tabling, and events. Future Goals: My future goal is to work with LGBTQ youth, by either creating a LGBTQ teen shelter or by helping them in a school setting via counseling. Department of Social Work
