BSW Field Profiles 2018-19

BSW Katelyn Tamasitis 2018-2019 Agency Name: Berks County Children and Youth Services Profile: Children and Youth Services is a county agency that protects the wellbeing of children. They also work with the parent’s to link them to resources to help their chances of getting their child back. Field Placement Responsibilities: My role at Berks County Children and Youth Services is to learn the rules and regulations of the agency, read case files and eventually be able to work on a case on my own. I also am working with children who are put it out of home care and with their families. My responsibilities also include preparing both the parents and the children for adoption. Future Goals: My goal is BSW in social work I would like to still be working at CYS doing the CWEL program, so after two years I can get my masters. After I receive my masters I would like to work with sexual abuse victims. Department of Social Work
