BSW Field Profiles 2018-19

BSW Ashley Swiezak 2018 - 2019 Agency Name: Haven House Profile: Haven House is an outpatient psychiatric hospital that works with other hospitals in the Lehigh Valley Health Network. The overall focus of the agency is mental health and well being. The agency is divided into three departments health and wellness, psychiatry, and the social work department. At my placement in the social work department we use case management as well as facilitate group therapy classes. Field Placement Responsibilities: I facilitate group therapy classes, document case notes, assist clients with their daily maps, and reflect on their goals in treatment. Future Goals: I plan to pursue a Masters Degree in Social Work and a career in bilingual social work. Department of Social Work
