BSW Field Profiles 2018-19
BSW Travis Stoudt 2018-2019 Agency Name: UCSWF Profile: United Community Services for Working Families has a Youth Build program that focuses on education, vocational education/services (such as construction) at the site, case management services, career development, and leadership/ service. This program serves young adults between the ages of 17 and 24, whom wish to earn their GED, or other vocational skills. Field Placement Responsibilities: As an intern at United Community Services for Working Families, I am under the direction of my field supervisor, when I assist clients in enhancing their interview skills, their customer service skills, their educational goals/objectives, and I must conduct assessments on my clients. In addition, I must initiate weekly meetings with the clients to discuss any problems or concerns, and if there are areas of concern, I need to advocate for my clients to address/assess their needs. Future Goals: After I graduate with a BSW, I hope to be employed as a social worker working with young adults, after a few years of working in the field, I might pursue my MSW.
