An international expe- rience should be part of your education, whatever your goals, socioeconomic status, or field of study. Students in any Admissions and Services are here to help you find the perfect program and guide you through all of your planning steps to ensure you have a great experience. Why should you study abroad? How does it work? Now is the time in your life where you can take several weeks to several months to live and learn in another country. You will: • Develop cross-cultural communication skills. • Gain in-depth knowledge of a culture and place that is different from your own. • Have a competitive edge when applying for jobs or graduate school in any field. • Study a language that is not taught at Kutztown University. • Spend time immersed in a geographic region that has deep roots of historical importance. • Travel the world. The Office of International Admissions and Services is happy to talk to you at any time! • Go almost anywhere. • Take classes in English or the local language. • Get KU course credit that will count towards your degree program. • Use your financial aid to pay for study abroad. • Study abroad after your first full year of college. • Begin planning about six months before you want to study abroad.
