A Warm Welcome from the Rohrbach Library! Welcome to Kutztown University! We know you’ll love everything KU has to offer including the Rohrbach Library’s resourc- es! Now that you’ve made the decision to attend KU, the Rohrbach Library is here to help you through all your informa- tion needs! The Rohrbach Library is a viable resource for its students, faculty, staff, and the Kutztown community. RL houses collec- tions of books, DVDs, and various electronic resources. Our electronic resources include over 400,000 e-books and full text articles located in one of our 200+ searchable databases. Our mission is to facilitate academic research and lifelong learning by integrating information literacy and critical think- ing processes into the curriculum through the section and provision of high-quality information resources, professional services, and technologies to our diverse community. Rohrbach Library has 122,667 square feet and 1050 chairs for students. The library also houses the Book and Brew Café and a balcony with outdoor seating located on the first floor. Looking for a private space to study or do group work? You can reserve one of our nine study rooms on our website or at the information desk. Or looking for a quiet place to study? Head to the Quiet Study Area located on the second floor. Students can check out a wireless laptop from the circulation desk, grab a drink or snack from the café, and settle into a seat. Access to a wireless connection ( BearNet ) for free Wifi. Phone charging stations and book scan stations located on the first floor. Check out Mac and PC laptops, GoPro cameras, Cannon SLR Cameras, calculators, and even Kindles . Students can also find a number of computer labs and printing stations available for use on all three floors. In addition, collaborative learning spaces with or without MediaScape technologies are available for students and faculty to use while working on assignments or for classroom instruction. The library’s Makerspace called STEAMworks also has new technologies that include 3D printers, poster size printers, button makers, sewing machines, craft supplies, and even virtual reality technologies. During the semester, the library is open 7 days a week.
